Men’s Swimming Falls to Catholic in Conference Action

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown men's swim team fell, 179-78 to visiting Catholic on Saturday in Landmark Conference action.

The team of Leif Hoffman, Barron Bishop, Austin Smith, and Marco Niosi grabbed second in the 200 medley relay. In the 1000 free, Hoffman took second with a time of 11:00.22 while Cameron Stambaugh finished third. In the 100 back, Hoffman finished second clocking in at 59.15.

In the 100 breaststroke, Garren McKenzie narrowly missed second touching the wall at 1:0523 and Smith finished fourth with a time of 1:05.61. In the 200 fly, the Blue Jays finished third through fifth with Noah Lynch leading the way. In the 200 back, Hoffman finished second with a time of 2:07.63 and Michael Tittermary finished fourth with a time of 2:18.95.

In the 200 breaststroke, Bishop took second while McKenzie placed third with a time of 2:33.61. Billy Bartolomei finished second in the 500 free touching the wall at 5:28.31. Smith earned the lone first place for the Jays today as he claimed first in the 100 fly.

Etown will travel to York (Pa.) for their midseason meet starting on Nov. 21.
