TOWSON, Md.—Elizabethtown College field hockey senior,
Drew Bridges was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Year while
Hannah Long,
Rachel Troutman along with Bridges were named to the All-Conference team.
Bridges and Long were named to the first team while Troutman was named to the second team. This is Etown's first player of the year award since 2016 and first major award since 2019.
Bridges ended her career with the Blue Jays in her best season yet. The senior started in all 20 games for Etown as the team advanced to the conference semifinals. Bridges led the conference in goals (23), shots (128), shots on goal (88), and in points (57). Bridges was also second in the conference with 11 assists. The forward recorded three hat-tricks on the season and was named Landmark Athlete of the Week this season. In the final game of her career, Bridges recorded her 100
th career point.
Long was named to the all-conference first team after being named to the second team last season. The sophomore started in all 20 games for Etown totaling 11 goals and ten assists for a total of 32 points. Long was third in the conference in assists. Earlier this season, Long was named Landmark Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Troutman earns her first all-conference nod as a senior. The defender started in all 20 games for the Blue Jays. Troutman led the defense using her sharp IQ and ability to read plays that allowed her to make timely interventions and keep the team structured under pressure. She recorded one defensive save this season while also contributed offensively scoring two goals.
Etown finished the season 10-10 overall and 6-3 in the Landmark. As the third seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament the Blue Jays advanced to the semifinals.
