ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown women's swim team opened up their season at home Friday evening. The Blue Jays defeated Goucher, 171-49 and Immaculata, 148-99.
The team of
Kaylee Blair,
Emma Sabalaske,
Hailey Poulos, and
Katarina Linde took the top spot in the 200 medley relay. In the 1000 free,
Olivia Goldman-Smith finished second clocking in at 13:08.22.
In the 200 free, Poulos (2:10.09) and
Katie Midura (2:13.14) finished second and third respectively.
Blair finished first while
Emma Paul took second in the 50 back. Sabalaske out-touched Linde in the 50 breaststroke. In the 100 fly, Poulos finished first with a time of 1:09.33 while
Jordyn Dutko finished third. In the 50 free,
Maya Veiss claimed second with a time of 28.26 and Linde finished third with a time of 28.51.
Sabalaske claimed the top spot in the 100 free clocking in at 1:0023. Paul finished second in the 100 back touching the wall at 1:09.03. Sabalaske added another first on her day taking the top spot in the 100 breaststroke. Midura finished second in the event.
In the 500 free, Blair took first coming in with a time of 5:32.73 and Poulos took second with a time of 5:57.75. In the 50 fly, Dutko and Paul finished second and third respectively. Midura grabbed second place in the 200 IM clocking in at 2:31.01. The quartet of Blair,
Maura Swab, Paul, Veiss finished first in the 200 free relay.
