Men’s & Women’s Swimming Competes against Washington (Md.) on Senior Day

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown men's & women's honored 15 seniors prior to hosting Washington (Md.) in their final Saturday home meet of the season. The Blue Jays honored were Liv Hillman, Gracie Harding, Claire Garbarini, Kortny Green, Andy Hoch, Nick Iraca, Griffen MacLaren, Josh McQueen, Robert Midura, Connor Oswald, Liam Quick, Franky Swain, Jack Venza, AJ West, and Zain Wegman.

To start the day the team of Emma Sabalaske, Harding, Hillman, and Megan Benson took second in the 400 medley relay while the team of Leif Hoffman, Barron Bishop, Austin Smith, and West finished third in the 400 medley relay.

In the 1000 free, Hailey Poulos claimed second clocking in at 11:47.20 and McQueen took second with a time of 11:00.10 in a thrilling race. Hillman took the top spot in the 200 free touching the wall at 2:06.63. In the 100 back, Kaylee Blair clocked in at 1:05.21 for a second-place finish. On the men's side the Blue Jays also took second as Hoffman finished with a time of 57.55.

The Blue Jays took the top three spots in the women's 100 breaststroke with Green leading the way. In the men's 200 fly, Hoffman finished first clocking in at 2:04.10. Harding finished second in the women's 50 free by .03 with a time of 25.58 and West also took second in the 50 free on the men's side.

In the women's 200 back, Poulos finished second followed by Blair in third. Harding finished second with a time of 2:39.32 in the women's 200 breaststroke before Katie Midura in third. In the men's 500 free, Hoffman added another first place to his day with a time of 5:08.07. In the men's 100 fly, Smith claimed first touching the wall at 54.13.

The men fell 165-93 while the women fell, 162-85 against Washington (Md.). Both teams return home Wednesday, January 22 at 5:30 pm as they host York (Pa.).
