SCRANTON, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown men's swim team started off 2025 with a 193-69 loss at Landmark Conference opponent, Scranton Saturday afternoon.
The team of
Leif Hoffman, Garren McKenszie,
Austin Smith, and
AJ West started off the meet with a second place finished in the 200 medley relay. Hoffman led the team in three top five finishes. Hoffman took third in the 1000 free (10:54.33), fourth in the 100 fly (57.63) and second in the 100 back (58.91).
Josh McQueen claimed third in the 200 free clocking in at 1:54.16.
Austin Smith finished third in the 100 fly touching the wall at 56.86, fifth in the 100 breaststroke, and fifth in the 200 free. West had several top-two finishes, taking second in the 50 back, second in the 50 free with a time of 22.95, and first in the 50 fly.
In the final event of the 400 free relay the quartet of McQueen,
Michael Tittermary,
Marco Niosi, and
Andy Hoch finished third coming in with a time of 3:34.76.
