SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Kelty Oaster won her second straight race to begin the 2024 season for the Elizabethtown College women's cross country team. The Blue Jays took third as a team out of nine with 69 points.

Oaster powered through the 4,000-meter course in 15:13.4 to win Friday night at Shippensburg.

Gwen Young was the next Blue Jay to finish. She was 15th overall (12th, scoring) in 15:59.5.

Keely Fitzgerald took 19th (15th, scoring), Maureen Bosak was 27th (19th, scoring), and Amanda Kauffman placed 44th (28th, scoring) to round out the scoring for Etown.

The Blue Jays will host their own Alumni Challenge on Saturday, September 14.
