SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Senior Daniel Myers won his second consecutive race for the Elizabethtown College men's cross country team Friday night at the Galen Piper Alumni/Open XC Challenge at Shippensburg.

This week, the Blue Jays had a 6,000-meter course to navigate, which was no problem for Myers. He won in 19:41.4.

Will Inglis was also in the top 10 for Elizabethtown. The sophomore took ninth overall in 19:55.1.

Derek Kendig was next in 15th (13th, scoring), Ethan Wence was 21st (16th, scoring), and Martin Ratchford placed 23rd (17th, scoring).

All five scorers for Etown were within 52 seconds of one another on the night. Shippensburg won their home meet with 25 points.

The Blue Jays will host the Alumni Challenge next Saturday, September 14.
