LANCASTER, Pa. -- Sophomore
Kate Bendall was the Elizabethtown College women's track & field team's lone event winner on Friday at the Diplomat Open hosted by Franklin & Marshall College.

Mylea Neidig, and
Isabella Cowger (2) each set all-time marks in the throws at the meet.
Bendall started her first meet of the season off quickly, coming within .01 of tying her season-best in the 60m hurdles (9.45) from last year. Her time of 9.46 was the best of the field in the prelims to qualify for the final. She did not run in the hurdle final. Zimmerman, who was sixth in prelims at 10.13 (fifth fastest all-time), took seventh in the final at 10.26.
Bendall was then back and forth between triple jump and high jump. She won the triple with a mark of 10.45m (34'3-1/2") before placing eighth in the high jump at 1.42m (4'7-3/4").
Ash Rich was 10th in the high jump, also at 1.42m.
Neidig and Cowger both placed in each of the two throwing events for Elizabethtown. Neidig was the runner-up in the shot put at 11.86m (38'11") while Cowger was sixth at 10.89m (35'8-3/4"), eighth-best all-time. Earlier in the meet, Neidig was fifth in the weight throw at 12.71m (41'8-1/2") and Cowger threw 12.22m (40'1-1/4"). Neidig's throw moved her from sixth to fourth all-time while Cowger is now seventh on the program's top 10 list.
Caleigh Bold was also a runner-up for the Jays, taking second in the 200m at 27.41. Zimmerman was seventh in 28.55.
Ella Powers took seventh in the long jump at 4.55m (14'11-1/4").
The 4x400m relay closed out the meet with a fourth-place finish.
Bendall will take part in the River Hawk Early Season Multi on Friday, December 13, at 4 p.m. The meet is held at Susquehanna University.
