SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Sophomore
Kate Bendall competed in the pentathlon for the Elizabethtown College women's track & field team on Friday at Susquehanna's River Hawk Early Season Multi. Bendall finished seventh overall with 2,608 points.
Her pentathlon started off with her best event, the 60-meter hurdles. Bendall ran 9.52, the second-fastest time of the field. Next, she cleared 1.41m (4'7-1/2") in the high jump, which tied for ninth.
In the shot put, the third event, Bendall's best mark was 8.08m (26'6-1/4"), ninth in the field.
She came back in the long jump with the fourth-best jump at 4.89m (16'0-1/2").
The final event was the 800m where she finished in 3:02.14.
Her 2,608 points are fourth in program history and the first athlete to compete in a pentathlon for Elizabethtown since the 2011 MAC Indoor Championships.
