YORK, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown men's swim team closed out the three-day York Spartan Splash, Sunday taking third place out of five with 566 points.
On the final day,
Josh McQueen finished fifth in the 1650 free clocking in at 17:43.27 while
Robert Midura finished eighth. In the 200 backstroke,
Leif Hoffman claimed second coming in with a time of 1:56.22 and
Michael Tittermary took 10th with a time of 2:09.17. In the 100 free,
AJ West rounded out the A-final with an eighth place finish and
Andy Hoch finished ninth in the event.
In the 200 breaststroke,
Barron Bishop clocked in at 2:13.71 for a fifth place finish and
Garren McKenzie finished 10th with a time of 2:22.69. Hoffman earned the top spot in the 200 fly, touching the wall at 1:58.86 while McQueen and
Jack Venza took sixth and eighth; respectively. In the 400 free relay, the team of Hoch,
Marco Niosi,
Austin Smith, and West finished fourth with a time of 3:21.06.
Elizabethtown will close out the year on December 7th as they host Wilkes at 11 am.
