WINCHESTER, Va. -- Corey Cope and
Ganon Smith each won their weight classes for the second time this season and the Elizabethtown College wrestling team had a place-finisher in nine of the 10 weights to take third out of 11 teams at the Shenandoah Invitational with 152 points.
Cope and Smith, along with

On Saturday at Shenandoah, it was Cope and Smith that ran the table to capture their titles. For Cope, it was a pinfall within the opening minute. Smith used a 4-0 decision in his first-place match to grab the 184-pound title.
Davis was one of two runner-up finishers for Elizabethtown. He lost a 7-4 decision at 197 while
Ksawery Niewiadomy took second at 285.
Braden Schuyler (133) and
Justice Hockenberry (165) took their third-place matches for the Blue Jays. Hockenberry won over his teammate
Gavin Fehr, who was fourth at 165.
Daniel Corbin (125) was also a fourth-place finisher for Etown.
Owen Heffner battled to a fifth-place finish at 133 as did
David Panone at 141.
Gavin Wagner did the same at 197 for the Jays.
Febian Dawit (133),
Ethan Bliss (157), and
Caleb Bowlin (174) were also contributors to EC's point total. Dawit took seventh while Bliss and Bowlin were eighth in their weight class.
