Men's Swimming Competes vs. Juniata & Penn St.-Altoona on Senior Day

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown men's swim team split in their final tri-meet of the season against Juniata and Penn St.-Altoona. The Blue Jays defeated the Eagles, 222-14 but fell, 118-143 to the Lions. 

The Blue Jays took first place in the 200 medley relay to start the day with the team of Franky Swain, Connor Oswald, AJ West, and Austin Smith. In the 1000 free, Leif Hoffman led the team with a second place finish while Joshua McQueen finished third and Robert Midura fourth place. In the 200 free, Andrew Hoch finished third coming in with a time of 1:55.34 and West grabbed fourth with a time of 2:00.29. In the 100 back, Swain finished second with a time of 57.70 while Dylan Fitzgerald finished third touching the wall at 58.30. 

In the 100 breaststroke, Oswald finished first while Alex Waskiewicz followed in second. Hoffman claimed first in the 200 fly coming in with a time of 2:03.28. In the 50 free, Smith (23.15) finished third and Fitzgerald (24.17) finished fourth. West finished second in the 100 free clocking in at 50.07 and Hoch finished in fourth. In the 200 breaststroke, Waskiewicz took second with a time of 2:22.33 and Oswald finished behind him in third with a time of 2:29.23. 

In the 500 free, Hoffman finished second and McQueen took third place. In the 100 fly, Smith claimed first clocking in at 54.45 while West took second with a time of 55.50. The team of Fitzgerald, Liam Quick, Hoch, and Waskiewicz finished third in the 200 free relay. 

The Blue Jays finish their season at Landmark Conference Swimming Championships starting February 15.
