Scranton Defeats Women's Swimming

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's swim team fell, 154-108 vs. Scranton Saturday in a Landmark Conference meet. 

In the first event the team of Maddey Brelsford, Emma Sabalaske, Kaylee Blair, and Maggie Myers finished third in the 200 medley relay. Hailey Poulos took third in the 1000 free touching the wall at 11:59.14 while Katie Midura followed in fourth. Sarah Marston claimed the top spot in the 200 free clocking in at 2:00.98. In the 100 back, Brelsford finished second with a time of 1:05.84 and Megan Benson finished fourth. 

In the 100 breaststroke, Kortny Green claimed first coming in with a time of 1:13.07 and Sabalaske finished closely behind with a time of 1:13.28. In the 200 fly, Blair placed second with a time of 2:22.39. Gracie Harding took first in the 50 free touching the wall at 26.48. In the 100 free, Marston added another first with a time of 55.07 and Blair finished second with a time of 57.39. In the 200 back, Brelsford came in second coming in with a time of 2:23.76. 

In the 500 free, Blair took second finishing with a time of 5:36.71. Marston added her third first place of the day as she took the top spot in the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.14. In the 400 free relay, Harding, Hillman, Benson, and Marston took first with a time of 3:53.46. 

The Blue Jays are back on the road January 20th at Washington (Md.).
