SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- All five scorers were in the top 41 of Friday night's Piper Alumni Open/XC Challenge for the Elizabethtown College men's cross country team. Brandon Baxter was the top performer for the Blue Jays.

Etown was led by its upperclassmen. Baxter, a senior, finished 22nd overall in 19:50.1. He was the first Jay to cross the finish line Friday night.

Gingrich followed Baxter in 19:54.9 to place 27th. Matt Fick was next in 31st, in 20:12.5.

A seven-second gap separated Fick from Daniel Myers, who was 38th in 20:19.8. Nolan Pettit rounded out the scoring for Elizabethtown. He was 41st in 20:25.1.

The Blue Jays took fifth in the team standings out of 12 with 146 points. EC was also third amongst Div. III squads at the meet.

Elizabethtown will host the Blue Jay Alumni Challenge next Saturday, September 9, on their home Solar Array Course.
