Holland Jr. finishes 14th at NCAA Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Junior Myron Holland Jr. finished 14th for the Elizabethtown College men's track & field team at the 2023 NCAA Div. III Outdoor Championships hosted by St. John Fisher University. Holland was the first Blue Jay to compete at the indoor and outdoor championships in the same season since 2012.

Holland was the final entry accepted into the 100-meter field with his school-record time of 10.54 run at Millersville back in April.

In Friday evening's preliminaries, Holland was in the first of three heats, where the top finisher in each plus the next five fastest times would advance to Saturday afternoon's final.

The Landmark champion would end up with a 10.63 in his heat, but unfortunately for the junior, not quite enough to be able to move on as he ended up 14th overall.

Holland had the fastest time in the conference and the Mid-Atlantic region. He also ran five of the Landmark's top 10 times, all-time, in the 100, including two of the top three.
