Jalen Belgrave Landmark Men's Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar Athlete

Landmark tabs Belgrave as Men's Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar Athlete

TOWSON, Md. -- Jalen Belgrave has been tabbed the Landmark Men's Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar Athlete, the 10th member of the Elizabethtown College men's track & field program to earn the honor and sixth different athlete since joining the Landmark Conference. The league office began its spring senior scholar athlete announcements earlier this week.

A two-year captain for Elizabethtown, Belgrave has been a key piece to the Blue Jays' sprint core and relay groups, particularly the 4x100-meter relay and 4x200-meter relay.

The senior has four all-conference honors in the relays for Etown. He helped the 4x200m to a Landmark indoor gold medal in 2020 and 2023. The Blue Jays were the silver medalists in the event in 2022. Belgrave and company also won the 4x100m gold at the 2021 Landmark Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Belgrave will also graduate with his name among the program's Top 10 indoors and outdoors. He ran on the fifth-fastest 4x200-meter relay and sixth-fastest 4x100-meter relay. Belgrave also clocked the sixth-best 60-meter time in school history.

While the Annapolis, Md. native provided a lot on the track, he also demonstrated his ability to perform off the track. A legal studies major, Belgrave is a three-time Landmark Spring Academic Honor Roll selection as well as a three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honoree. He is an Elizabethtown College Emergent Scholar and appeared on the Dean's List every semester.

The Founder and President of the Elizabethtown College NAACP, Belgrave has been incredibly active in his community and civil service activities. He's also the founder and program director for the College's Social and Civil Leadership Academy, a co-captain of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and member of Student Senate and Diversity Board.

Belgrave was also selected as the Blue Jay Athletic Association Male Distinguished Student-Athlete award last month.
