Phillips, Mistichelli earn Academic All-District Team honors

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Graduate students Paige Phillips and Ashley Mistichelli each earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team honors for the Elizabethtown College softball team.

Mistichelli led Elizabethtown in average, OPS, hits and tied for the team-lead in doubles. Her 24 career doubles tie her for 10th-most in program history. Phillips, who added seven more doubles for her total this season, finished her career with 31, leaving her tied for third all-time. Phillips reached 100 career hits and drove in nine RBIs for the Jays.

By making the All-District Team, Phillips and Mistichelli will advance to the CSC Academic All‐America® ballot. First-, second- and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced June 6. To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 GPA, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve.
