GETTYSBURG, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College women's track & field team put multiple place finishers in six different events on Saturday at the Mason-Dixon Invitational. The meet was delayed, and then canceled due to weather, after 11 scored events. The Blue Jays were third out of 11 with 57 points.
Amanda Kauffman won the 5k for Elizabethtown and was one of three in the top eight. Her winning time was 19:54.32.
Isabelle Smith was fourth and
Emma O'Toole placed eighth.
Maureen Bosak took third in the 1500m at 5:23.19.
Kylie Evoy was seventh and
Alexis Broggi placed ninth.
In the 100-meter hurdles,
Laura Cardona ran 17.18 to take sixth while
Trinity Faupel ran 17.67, which was the ninth-fastest time in the event.
Katie Guelcher and
Isabell Anderson went four-five in the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the Jays and the 4x100m relay was fourth.
Mylea Neidig led the throws group, taking third in the shot put at 11.20m.
DaniRae Renno was sixth with a new PR of 10.67m, now 10th on the program's all-time list.
Trinity Soto finished seventh in the hammer throw while
Erin Miller was ninth.
Lucy Stern jumped 4.33m in the long jump to take sixth.
The Blue Jays will host the Blue Jay Tune-Up this coming Friday and Saturday at the team's outdoor track & field facility. Etown will also be represented at this year's Penn Relays, also coming later this week.
