MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -- As was the theme of his indoor season,
Myron Holland Jr. is already fast at work with his 100-meter record for the Elizabethtown College men's track & field team. The junior broke his own record on Saturday at the Millersville Metrics meet.
Holland broke the 60-meter record and then reset it mutiple times during the indoor season. Earlier today, Holland broke his own 100-meter record of 10.76 set in mid-May of 2022 at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships. In Saturday's 100m prelims, he ran 10.64, the fourth fastest qualifying time for the final. Then, in the final, Holland ran 10.54 and to win it for Elizabethtown. He also won the 200m at 22.09.
Gingrich, the reigning Men's Track Athlete of the Week, ran 10:16.16 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to place second. Devons Soto ran 10:24.76 to take sixth.
Logan Miller cleared 3.90m in the pole vault to take fifth while
Jordan Figueroa tied for seventh at 3.75m.
Collin Wolf set a new PR in the 400m hurdles for the second consecutive meet, lowering his time to 58.66 and improving his eighth-place standing on the all-time list. He was eighth in the event at Millersville.
Xavier Hall took ninth in the triple jump and
Malik Hudges and
Ethan Vallone both tied for 10th in the high jump.
The men's 4x400m relay was sixth.
Elizabethtown will compete at York (Pa.) College's Twilight Meet on Wednesday, April 5, at 2:30 p.m.
