SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College women's track & field team finished Saturday's Landmark Indoor Championships in sixth with 45 points.
Melissa Fitzgibbon,
Jocelynn Itterly,
Mylea Neidig, and the distance medley relay team all medaled for the Blue Jays at the meet.
Fitzgibbon made it to the podium twice on Saturday. She took the bronze in the 5,000-meter run and then was fourth in the 3,000-meter run.
Itterly and Neidig each earned bronze medals for the Jays in their field events. Itterly tied her personal best by clearing 1.57m in the high jump and Neidig threw a new personal best in the shot put. Neidig's throw of 11.33m also moved her from seventh to fourth on the program's all-time list in the event.
Maureen Bosak,
Victoria Wert,
Kylie Evoy, and
Axel Georgieff combined to run 13:46.64 in the distance medley relay to take third for Etown.
Laura Cardona ran consecutive PRs for the Blue Jays in the 60m hurdles. First in the prelims, she recorded a 9.77 to qualify for the final. Then, in the final, she ran 9.69 to place fourth and moved herself from third to second on the school's Top 10 list.
The 4x200m relay of
Melissa Patton,
Jarrett Wagner,
Maddy Eisenhart, and
Trinity Faupel took fifth and the 4x400m relay of Cardona, Patton,
Abigail Buffington, and Wert finished sixth.
