Women's Swimming Falls to Catholic

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's swim team fell, 166.5-94.5 to visiting Catholic in a Landmark Conference meet, Saturday. 

In the first event of the day, the relay team of Maddey Brelsford, Emma Sabalaske, Kaylee Blair, and Sarah Marston finished second in the 400 medley relay. In the 1000 freestyle, Hailey Poulos finished fourth clocking in at 11:56.86. Sarah Marston picked up the first win for the Blue Jays in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:00.54. Brelsford finished third in the 100 backstroke while Emma Jefferson finished fifth with a time of 1:21.15. In the 100 breaststroke, Sabalaske (1:13.46) finished second and Kortny Green (1:14.11) claimed third. 

In the 200 butterfly, Blair recorded the second first place for Etown as she touched the wall at 2:20.26. Gracie Harding claimed second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.13 and Maggie Myers tied for fourth. Marston grabbed another first place as she came in with a time of 55.28 in the 100 freestyle. Harding finished third in the event. In the 200 backstroke, Brelsford touched the wall with a time of 2:22.61 for a second place finish. Blair added her second first place of the day as she touched the wall at 5:29.55 in the 500 freestyle. 

Marston claimed first in the 200 IM coming in with a time of 2:18.12. The team of Blair, Sabalaske, Myers, and Harding finished second in the 200 freestyle relay. 

The Blue Jays travel to Drew on December 1-2 to close 2023.
