LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Junior Daniel Myers was the top finisher for the Elizabethtown College men's cross country team on Saturday at the NCAA Div. III Mid-Atlantic Regional. The Blue Jays placed eighth out of 31 scoring teams with 275 points.

One of the top performers for Etown all season, it was Myers who was the first to cross for the Blue & Gray on Saturday. He was 41st overall with a new 8k personal best time of 25:57.9.

Matt Fick wasn't too far behind Myers, in fact less than ten seconds as he took 47th in 26:06.0, which was also PR for Fick. Brandon Baxter finished 51st, four spots back of Fick, in 26:11.7.

First-year runners Derek Kendig and Benjamin Ortiz each had season-best performances for Elizabethtown. Kendig was the fourth to finish for the Jays, in 70th place, in 26:30.9. Ortiz was 73rd at 26:32.5. Both runners ran sub-27:00 for the first time this season on Saturday.
