Women's Swimming Falls at Arcadia

GLENSIDE, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's swim team fell, 148-108 at Arcadia as the Blue Jays dropped their first dual meet of the season. 

In the opening event, the quartet of Maddey Brelsford, Emma Sabalaske, Sarah Marston, and Gracie Harding took second with a time of 1:58.77 in the 200 medley relay. In the 1000 freestyle, Hailey Poulos finished second coming in with a time of 11:49.66 and Katie Midura finished third with a time of 12:21.18. In the 200 freestyle the Blue Jays took the top two spots as Marston (2:01.00) finished first while Kaylee Blair (2:03.65) finished second. 

In the 100 backstroke, Brelsford claimed second clocking in at 1:07.02. In the 100 breaststroke, Sabalaske finished second touching the wall at 1:13.50 while Kortny Green just finished about a second behind her for third. Harding finished second in the 50 freestyle clocking in at 26.59. Marston claimed the top spot in the 100 freestyle coming in with a time of 55.43 and Blair finished third with a time of 57.64. 

In the 200 backstroke, Brelsford finished second coming in with a time of 2:24.57. In the 200 breaststroke, Etown took the top three spots with Sabalske leading the way. Kylee Parks and Green followed in the event. Blair finished first in the 500 freestyle touching the  wall at 5:35.68 which was over ten seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Poulos finished second in the 400 IM while Midura followed in third place. 

Elizabethtown returns home tomorrow, November 11 at 1PM as they host Lycoming.
