Women's Swimming Secures Victory over Susquehanna in Final Relay

SELINSGROVE, Pa.-- It all came down to the final relay of the day for Elizabethtown women's swimming as they narrowly secured a 110-104 victory over Susquehanna. 

In the first relay event of the day the quartet of Maddey Brelsford, Kortny Green, Megan Benson and Sarah Marston finished second with a time of 2:01.62. The Blue Jays took the top two spots in the 1000 freestyle as Hailey Poulos (11:51.71) finished first while Katie Midura (12:13.84) finished second. Kaylee Blair claimed the top spot in the 200 freestyle touching the wall at 2:03.05. In the 50 freestyle, Marston finished first and Gracie Harding finished third with a time of 26.28. 

Harding took first in the 100 freestyle clocking in at 58.22 while Olivia Hillman finished third. In the 100 backstroke, Brelsford and Emma Sabalaske finished back to back taking second and third. Blair added another first place on the day as she finished with a time of 5:32.43 in the 500 freestyle. In the 100 breaststroke, Sabalaske finished second coming in with a time of 1:13.44 while Green finished third with a time of 1:13.48. 

By about seven seconds the team of Hillman, Blair, Harding, and Marston claimed first in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:49.14. 

Etown will host Cabrini and Brynn Mawr on November 4 at 1PM.
