ALTOONA, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's swim team ended the regular season on a high-note as they defeated Penn St.-Altoona, 157-93.
The Blue Jays claimed first in the 200 medley relay to start the day as
Maddey Brelsford,
Kortny Green,
Kaylee Blair, and
Gracie Harding finished with a time of 1:57.30.
Hailey Poulos claimed first in the 1000 freestyle clocking in at 11:31.95. In the 200 freestyle,
Sarah Marston took first with a time of 2:00.54 while
Olivia Hillman and
Brooke Langowski finished third and fourth, respectively. Brelsford finished third in the 100 backstroke touching the wall at 1:06.05.
In the 100 breaststroke, Etown swept the event with
Emma Sabalaske taking first with a time of 1:13.35. In the 200 butterfly, Blair finished first coming in with a time of 2:21.50 while Poulos finished in second with a time of 2:24.46. In the 50 freestyle, Harding claimed first touching the wall at 26.05 and Hillman finished third with a time of 27.90. In the 100 freestyle, Marston added another first place on the day as she came in with a time of 55.63 and Blair finished second coming in with a time of 57.03.
In the 200 backstroke, Brelsford (2:25.34) finished second and Langowski (2:36.75) finished fourth. Green took first in the 200 breaststroke followed by
Lexi Fink in third. Poulos added another first place finish as she touched the wall at 5:37.08 in the 500 freestyle. In the 100 butterfly, Marston took first with a time of 1:00.54. In the 200 IM, Blair finished first, Sabalaske finished third, and Green finished fifth.
Elizabethtown takes a break and will return February 17-19 for the Landmark Conference Championship at Germantown Indoor Swim Center.
