LANCASTER, Pa. -- Kelty Oaster won for the second time at Franklin & Marshall as the Elizabethtown College women's track & field team competed at Friday's Mini-Dip Invitational.
Oaster took the 800 meters in 2:19.74, her second individual event win of the indoor season. She also won the 1,000m run at F&M in December.
Lucy Stern and
Abigail Buffington both placed for Elizabethtown in the triple jump. Stern was sixth at 9.63m and Buffington was eighth at 9.33m.
Melissa Patton took 10th in the 300m run at 45.63, the second-fastest time in program history.
Emily Ward finished in 53.72, fifth-best all-time. Isabella Smith was also 10th for the Blue Jays. She ran 5:54.94 in the mile.
The 4x400m relays were sixth and eighth, respectively.
Trinity Soto and
Maura Bradney each set new personal bests in the throws. Soto hit 11.98m in the weight throw to move from 10th to 7th on the all-time list. Bradney's best mark in the shot put was recorded at 10.36m, which puts her ninth in school history.
The women's track & field team will travel to the Armory on Friday, February 3, for the NYU Division III Invitational.
