LANCASTER, Pa. -- Teammates in high school and now teammates with the Elizabethtown College men's track & field team,
Ethan Vallone,
Myron Holland Jr., and
Evan Schwab each won an event for the Blue Jays at Friday's Mini-Dip Invitational at Franklin & Marshall.
Vallone was the first to pick up an individual event win for the Blue Jays yesterday. He soared over 1.85m, a new PR, to win the high jump and tie for 10th on Etown's all-time list.
Lucas Maggipinto was right behind him, in second, at 1.80m as the Jays went one-two in the event.
Holland, who has lowered his school record 60m dash time each meet this season, did so again back at F&M. He was one one-hundredth off tying his record in the prelims at 6.93, but in the final he would beat his own record again at 6.91 to win the 60m in the process. Holland was the only sprinter to run under 7.00 in the final.
While not a regularly contested event distance, that didn't stop Schwab from winning the 300-meter dash. He finished in 36.56 to win the event for Elizabethtown. He also ran 7.27 in the prelims of the 60m, which ties him for sixth on the all-time list.
Aspen Stahl-Emig continued his climb up the weight throw all-time list for Etown. On Friday, he threw 13.34m to take ninth and slide from seventh to fifth in program history.
Jordan Figueroa tied for sixth in the pole vault and
Keagan Kinney was 10th.
Andrew Reice placed sixth in the 400m while
Joey Wagner was 10th.
Adam Carmo finished seventh in the 60m hurdles.
The 4x400m relays were fourth and 10th, respectively.
The Blue Jays are at the NYU DIII Invitational at the Armory in New York City on Friday, February 3.
