SCRANTON, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown men's swim team fell, 161-101 at Scranton, Saturday afternoon.
Starting off the meet the team of
Leif Hoffman,
Connor Oswald,
Austin Smith, and
AJ West finished second just two seconds behind Scranton in the 200 medley relay. The team touched the wall at 1:39.47. Hoffman took first in the 1000 freestyle, clocking in at 10:35.38 while
Robert Midura finished fourth. In the 200 freestyle,
Dylan Fitzgerald (1:55.93),
Joshua McQueen (1:56.50), and
Andrew Hoch (1:58.42) finished third through fifth respectively.
In the 100 backstroke,
Franky Swain placed second with a time of 1:00.42 while
Nicholas Carter finished behind him with a time of 1:02.69. In the 100 breaststroke,
Zain Wegman, Oswald, and
Alex Waskiewicz finished second through fourth, respectively. Hoffman earned another first place as he touched the wall at 2:00.84 in the 200 butterfly. Smith claimed second in the 50 freestyle, coming in with a time of 23.37.
In the 200 backstroke, Fitzgerald took second clocking in at 2:15.16. In the 200 breaststroke, the Blue Jays swept the event taking the top three spots. Waskiewicz, Wegman, and Carter finished first through third. In the 500 freestyle, Hoffman finished second (5:01.25). In the 200 freestyle relay, Etown finished second with a time of 1:34.41.
Elizabethtown will return home for the first time this season on January 21 at 1 PM. They will host McDaniel for senior day.
