BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Daniel Myers was the top finisher for the Elizabethtown College men's cross country team at the Lehigh Paul Short Run this afternoon. Myers, along with three other scoring members of the Blue Jays, ran personal 8,000-meter bests. Etown finished 40th in the College Brown 8k division.

Myers led the way for the Jays as he crushed his previous 8k best from last fall. The sophomore ran 25:58.1 on Friday and was the first to cross for Elizabethtown. He was 194th. Myers and Brandon Baxter, who was 198th and .04 seconds behind Myers (PR of 25:58.5), each got inside the top 200 in the race.

Christian Gingrich was next in 26:02.1, also a PR. Matt Fick was the fourth Etown runner to finish. He finished his 8k race in 26:16.4.

Nick Garrett was the fifth and final scoring member for Etown in 26:36.9.

The men's cross country team will wrap up its regular season on Saturday, October 15, at the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan University.
