ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- At the annual Blue Jay Alumni Challenge, this year's individual winner was
Melissa Fitzgibbon of the Elizabethtown College women's cross country team. The Blue Jays, in fact, went one-two-three in the race and they handled the alumni, 43-18.
Fitzgibbon owned over a ten-second lead before the next Blue Jay runner finished. Fitzgibbon's winning time was 17:25.60.
Bridget Kennedy followed her in at 17:36.30 while
Madison Webber was right behind in 17:38.80.
Colleen Kernan was the first alum to finish. She was fourth overall in 17:58.60.
Megan Lysek-Hagy placed fifth in 18:08.70 and
Axel Georgieff was seventh in 18:56.40 as they completed the scoring for the Jays.
Erin Doherty was sixth in 18:55.40 for the alumni team.
Elizabethtown will run at the Main Line Invitational, hosted by Haverford, on Friday, September 16, at 5 p.m.
