Miller named Landmark Women's Field Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. -- Elizabethtown sophomore Erin Miller won the javelin this past Saturday at the Messiah Invitational. On Tuesday, Miller was named the Landmark Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

Miller won the event for the first time this season and the fourth time in her career. The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native finished first in the javelin in three straight meets at the end of the 2021 season. First at the Goucher Classic on April 24, and then, a week later at the Blue Jay Tune Up on May 1. Miller threw 38.38m, her best mark to date, at the 2021 Landmark Conference Championships.

On Saturday at Messiah, the defending Landmark champion's throw of 37.35m (122'6") was the best of the competition and is the top mark in the conference through the weekend. She also competed in the hammer throw for the Blue Jays.

Miller has the top throws in the hammer and javelin so far this season for Etown.
