TOWSON, Md. -- The Elizabethtown College women's soccer team have multiple all-conference selections for the 27th straight season as
Jenna Hoffmann and
Trinity Soto each earn a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Teams. Hoffmann and Soto were each Second Team selections for the Blue Jays.
Hoffmann started every single game for the Blue Jays in her first year and made an immediate impact. She wasted no time scoring her first career goal, a game-winning goal no less, in the season opener. Her lone goal help Etown beat Muhlenberg on opening night at Ira R. Herr Field. In fact, Hoffmann had goals in three of her first four games for the Jays.
A workhorse in the center of midfield for Elizabethtown, Hoffmann tied for the fourth-most game-winning goals this season with three. She also ranked eighth in the conference in shots on goal and ninth in total shots while her four goals tied for 10th. The Amberson, Pa. native tied for the team-lead with four goals alongside forward
Skylar Mumford.
Hoffmann's goal against Juniata on October 1 came at the 1:07 mark of the first half, the seventh-fastest goal in program history.
Soto finished her career as one of the best goalkeepers to come through the Elizabethtown program. The senior finishes fourth all-time in saves with 263, tied for fifth with 12 shutouts, and seventh in goals against average (1.20) and wins (23).
This season, Soto stopped a Landmark-best and career-high 99 shots. Her 99 saves are the sixth-most in a single season for the Jays.
She opened the season with a clean sheet against Muhlenberg, a 1-0 win. She did the same 12 days later at Ira R. Herr Field, going 90 minutes in a 1-0 win against Rutgers-Camden. She also shut out Moravian on the road and earned her fourth of the year on Senior Day against Goucher. Soto was fourth in the Landmark with her four shutouts. Her 6.19 saves per game led the conference.
Soto saved a season-best 10 shots against Franklin & Marshall on September 7.
This is the third all-conference honor of Soto's career.
