Blue Jays Sink Dutchmen

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown men's swim team soared to a 147-47 over Lebanon Valley inside Alumni Pool, Friday evening. 

The Blue Jays started off the meet strong taking first and second in the 200 medley relay with first place clocking in at 1:42.73. In the 200 freestyle, Leif Hoffman claimed first with a time of 1:53.66 while AJ West finished second coming in with a time of 1:56.11. In the 50 freestyle, Austin Smith (23.73), Dylan Fitzgerald (23.88), and Liam Quick (24.38) came in first, second, and fourth, respectively. 

Etown took the top three spots in the 200 IM with Connor Oswald leading the way touching the wall at 2:10.08. In the 100 butterfly, Etown again swept. Austin Smith took first with a time of 56.58 while Joshua McQueen and Andrew Hoch followed in second and third. West finished first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.84 and Oswald took second coming in with a time of 53.93. 

Hoffman added another first to his evening claiming the top spot in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.30. Franky Swain finished second touching the wall at 59.09 in the event. Hoffman claimed his third first place of the meet in the 500 freestyle clocking in at 5:03.02 with Fitzgerald and Robert Midura taking second and third. In the 100 breaststroke, Zain Wegman (1:04.72), Nicholas Carter (1:07.92), and Garren McKenzie (1:09.97) claimed the top three spots. 

Elizabethtown is back in the pool on Sunday as they travel to Stevenson for a tri-meet with Wilkes at 1 PM.
