Blue Jays place 4th at the Inter-Regional Border Battle

GLASSBORO, N.J. -- The Elizabethtown College women's cross country team finished fourth at the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan University on Saturday. Kelty Oaster led the way for the Jays, who placed their three of their five runners inside the top 30. They were fourth out of 35 teams with 170 points.

One of only two teams in the top 10 of the final standings to have a spread of less than a minute, the Blue Jays' scorers were all finished within 53 seconds of each other.

Oaster was the first to finish for Elizabethtown. She was 23rd overall in 22:54.4.

Melissa Fitzgibbon ran 23:04.1 to take 26th with Bridget Kennedy right behind her in 27th at 23:05.0.

Madison Webber placed 41st in 23:35.1 and Megan Lysek-Hagy was 55th in 23:47.4.

Etown's 170 points were also the best among Landmark Conference teams also at the meet.

In the 6k Open, Isabell Anderson led the way for EC. She was 19th overall. Isabelle Smith took 25th, Laura Cardona 33rd, Kylie Evoy 36th, and Alexis Broggi 44th. 

The Blue Jays will look to reclaim the Landmark title on Saturday, October 29, at Goucher.
