COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. -- Kelty Oaster won the 800m and
Abigail Buffington the triple jump for the Elizabethtown College women's track & field team on Saturday at the Collegeville Classic.
Emily Ward set a new personal best in the hurdles and
Trinity Soto joined the program's top 10 list in the weight throw for the Blue Jays, who were second in the team standings.

Marissa Lapinsky didn't take long to get hold of their 800m section. The Blue Jay pair were out in front and led the majority of the race. Oaster pulled away around the final turn and took first in 2:23.84. Lapinsky was right behind her to take second in 2:24.95.
Sydney Detky placed for Elizabethtown both on the track and in the field. She was fifth in the 60m with an 8.55 in the final. She cleared 1.50m in the high jump to take second.
Jocelynn Itterly was fourth at 1.40m.
Melissa Fitzgibbon was back on the track in an Etown uniform. The senior ran strong in the 3,000m, finishing in 11:23.72 to place second.
Megan Lysek-Hagy followed her in for third at 11:27.36.
Axel Georgieff took sixth for the Jays.
Melissa Patton ran 1:04.92 in the 400m to place seventh.
Emily Ward ran 11.47 in the prelims of the 60m hurdles to move her from eighth to seventh all-time. She would finish seventh in the final.
A trio of Elizabethtown runners placed in the 5,000-meter run, led by
Hallie Weaver, who was third.
Bridget Kennedy took sixth and
Madison Webber was seventh.
Buffington winning triple jump mark was 10.20m. She was also third in the long jump at 4.58m.
Sarah Habiballah was fourth in both the long and triple jumps for Etown.
Soto threw 11.16m (36'7-1/2") in the weight throw, which is now 10th all-time in school history.
The women's track & field team will have athletes competing at the Mini-Dip Invitational on Friday, January 28.
