LANCASTER, Pa. -- Jocelynn Itterly had the top performance for the Elizabethtown College women's track & field team on Saturday at the Coach I Open. Itterly won the high jump and was the lone event winner for the Blue Jays at the meet. Itterly,
Devin Riss, and
Melissa Patton each had a top 10 all-time performance for Etown.
Itterly, who cleared 1.50m (4'11") in December at the first meet of the indoor season, did so again on Saturday to tie her personal best in the high jump. It was also the winning height, which is tied for ninth all-time.
Sydney Detky was fifth at 1.45m (4'9").
Riss, who had set a personal best as well at the season-opening meet at F&M a little over a month ago, moved up the program's all-time list in the pole vault. This time, she cleared 2.89m (9'5-3/4'), to move from a tie for eighth to sole possession of seventh in school history. She was fourth in the event.
Patton tied for 10th all-time in the 60-meter dash with an 8.69. She was also seventh in the 200m at 28.41.
Marissa Lapinsky and
Kelty Oaster went two-three in the 800-meter run. Lapinsky finished just ahead of Oaster in 2:27.13. Oaster's time was 2:27.50.
Kylie Evoy was ninth in the race.
The Blue Jays had a trio finished in the top ten in the mile, led by
Hallie Weaver, who was third.
Megan Lysek-Hagy took fourth and
Axel Georgieff was ninth.
Emily Ward placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles.
Abigail Buffington and
Sarah Habiballah both placed in a pair of events for Etown. Habiballah was fifth in the long jump while Buffington was seventh. Later, Buffington was the second-place finisher in the triple jump while Habiballah was fourth. Both athletes hit their best marks on their final attempts of the triple jump final. Buffington's best was 10.18m (33'4-3/4") while Habiballah's was 9.61m (31'6-1/2").
The 4x400m relay was second in 4:23.25.
Elizabethtown will compete at the Collegeville Classic next Saturday, January 22, at Ursinus College.
