LANCASTER, Pa. -- Kelty Oaster took third overall for the Elizabethtown College women's cross country team Saturday morning at Franklin & Marshall. The Blue Jays competed in a tri-meet with the Diplomat and Millersville. Etown bested F&M, but narrowly lost to Millersville.
Oaster and
Hallie Weaver were each in the top 10 for Elizabethtown. Weaver placed seventh for the Blue Jays.
11th through 14th belonged to Etown as
Brooklyne Wiley,
Megan Lysek-Hagy,
Bridget Kennedy, and
Madison Webber crossed within nine seconds of one another. Wiley took 11th, Lysek-Hagy 12th, Kennedy 13th, and Webber 14th.
The Marauders snuck past the Jays by two points, 27-29, but Elizabethtown got by Franklin & Marshall, 27-32.
The women's cross country team will host the Blue Jay Alumni Challenge next Saturday, September 11, at 10:30 a.m. on the Solar Array Course.
