ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Elizabethtown women's volleyball team earned its third straight-set victory of the season, sweeping Delaware Valley Thursday night in Thompson Gymnasium.
With the win, the Blue Jays improve to 4-3 on the season, while the Aggies fall to 2-4.
Juniors
Bryanna Miller and
Gianna Krinock each finished the night with double-doubles, as Miller recorded 14 kills and 10 digs and Krinock tallied 13 kills and 10 digs. Krinock added to her career-night, hitting .440. Senior

Sophie Savick (7) combined for 36 assists and sophomore
Kambrie Hepler was third on the team with nine digs.
Holding a one point lead in the opening set at 12-11, Etown cracked open the opening frame with a 7-1 run, making the score 19-12. Freshman
Gracie Britten, Krinock, and Miller each had two kills over this stretch. Delaware Valley closed back within three (19-16) but the Blue Jays slammed the door on a comeback, scoring the final six points for the 25-16 win in the opening set.
Midway through the second set, leading 15-13, Elizabethtown used another spurt to move ahead of the Aggies. The Blue Jays scored seven of the next eight points for an eight point advantage (22-14). Delaware Valley manage one more point in the second before Etown closed things out, 25-15, for the 2-0 lead.
The Aggies did not fade away quietly in the third set, running out to a 17-11 lead after an ace by Gretta Schneider. The Blue Jays responded after a timeout, going on an 8-3 run to move within one (19-20). A few points later a Krinock kill would tie the score at 22-22 followed by Etown's first lead since 1-0 at 23-22. The Aggies would tie the score one last time but Elizabethtown scored the final two points of the match capped off by a block from freshman
Lily Johnson and Miller to give the Blue Jays the 25-23 win and the 3-0 sweep.
Elizabethtown hits the road this weekend for its first tri-match of the season at Lancaster Bible on Saturday, September 18. The Blue Jays open the afternoon against local rival F&M at 1 p.m. followed by Lancaster Bible at 3 p.m.
