HOLIDAYSBURG, PA. – Junior Evan Kreiser earned Landmark All-Conference honors and the Elizabethtown College men's golf team recorded its lowest team score of the season at the Blue Jays finished in fifth place at the Landmark Conference Championship hosted by Juniata.
Etown carded a 339 (+51) for fifth place. The 339 is a 15-stroke improvement from their next best score this spring. Catholic took home the team title with a 229 (+11) followed by Scranton (307, +19).
Kreiser finished in a tie for eighth place with a season-low six-over 78 to bring home Second Team All-Conference accolades. He is the first golfer to make an All-Conference team since Kyle Hakun and Ryan Laudeman both were All-MAC Second Team selections in 2014. Kreiser is the first Elizabethtown golfer to take home the award since the Landmark started sponsoring golf during the 2017-18 season.
Junior Blake Wallace also shot a season-low, carding a nine-over 81 for 14th place. This is a 10-stroke improvement for Wallace this season and his best finish at the Landmark Conference Championship.
In his first Landmark Conference Championship, freshman David Fetzer broke 90 for the first time this season, scoring a 15-over, 87 for 25th place.
Rounding out the scoring for Etown were freshman Matthew Barosi (93, +21) tying for 33rd followed by junior Brady McLamb (94, +22) in 35th.
The Blue Jays return their entire roster next season that claimed its best finish at a conference championship since 2018.
