HERSHEY, Pa. - The Elizabethtown College men's golf team returned to action for the first time since 2019, hosting the Elizabethtown College Spring Invitational at the Hershey Country Club East Course Thursday afternoon.
The Blue Jays shot a 358 (+74) as a team, finishing in fifth place. The Catholic A team earned the team championship, recording a 320 (+32) as a squad.
Junior
Evan Kreiser was Etown's top-finisher, carding a +14, 85 for a tie for 10th place. Classmate
Brady McLamb finished just four strokes behind Kreiser with a +19, 90, finishing in a tie for 18th.
Junior
Blake Wallace (+20, 91) was the next finisher for the Blue Jays, wrapping up the one-day event in a tie for 20th. In his first collegiate event, freshman
Theron Steinbrook played as an individual but tied with Wallace for 20th.
Freshman
Matthew Barosi carded a +21, 92 (T-22) in his collegiate debut while freshman
David Fetzer took 26th with a +22, 93.Â
Rounding out the scoring was newcomer junior
Edward Rainey, scoring a +30, 101 for 29th place.
A quick turnaround for Etown as they travel to Olde Homestead Golf Club in New Tripoli, Pa. on Tuesday, April 6 for the Moravian College Invitational. Groups tee off at 12:30 p.m.
