LOUISVILLE, Kent. -- The Elizabethtown College men's cross country team had two representatives at Saturday's NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships hosted by Spalding University.
Nick Garrett and
Christian Schaaf, a pair of All-Landmark First Team and All-Mid-Atlantic Region performers ran the 8,000-meter championship race for the Blue Jays at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park.
Garrett, who led Elizabethtown for most of the year, finished 187th for the Jays in 25:23.3. Schaaf, in his final collegiate cross country race, took 251st in 25:52.8.
Alex Phillip of John Carroll was the individual Division III national champion in 23:27.6. Pomona-Pitzer took the team title with a meet-low 80 points, the only school to go sub-100.
