BALTIMORE, Md. - The Elizabethtown College men's swimming team won eight individual events and both relays on its way to wins over Immaculata, 184-66, and Goucher, 208-32 Saturday afternoon.
With the two wins, the Blue Jays start the season 2-0.
Freshmen
Connor Oswald and
AJ West led the way for Etown, winning two individual events apiece. Oswald took first in the 50 breast (29.13) and 100 breast (1:04.47) while West was first in the 100 fly (57.32) and 50 fly (25.47).Â
Other individual winner for the Blue Jays were freshman
Robert Midura in the 1000 free (11:15.41), freshman
Dylan Strella in the 100 free (52.33), sophomore Dylan Fitgerald in the 500 free (5:23.88), and freshman
Zain Wegman in the 100 IM (59.84).Â
The 200 medley relay team of freshman
Franky Swain, Oswald, West, and freshman
Liam Quick opened up the meet on the right foot for Etown, winning the event in 1:44.60.
Teaming up for the final relay win of the day was Strella, Quick, Fitgerald, and West in the 200 free relay, touching the wall in 1:34.58.
Elizabethtown returns home on Saturday, October 30 to take on Frostburg. Race start at 1 p.m.
