GETTYSBURG, Pa. -- Elizabethtown College men's cross country junior Nick Garrett continued his streak of finishing top five on Saturday at the Gettysburg Aubrey Shenk Invitational. Garrett was the runner-up in the race and helped the Blue Jays to a third-place team finish with 76 points.

Garrett, who won the F&M Season Opener, took fourth in the Blue Jays Alumni Challenge, and was third at the Dickinson Long Course, ran another good race at Gettysburg. The junior was second overall in 26:01.4 for the 8k course.

Christian Schaaf, who has been 1-2 with Garrett all season long for the Jays, was the second finisher for Etown. The Phoenixville, Pa. native was 14th overall in 27:14.6.

Brandon Baxter and Daniel Myers came in back-to-back. Baxter was 20th in 27:52.2 and Myers took 21st in 27:55.7. Adam Wolfe was two spots behind, in 23rd, at 28:04.5.

Elizabethtown will have another two-week period before competing again, though the postseason now begins for the Blue Jays as they gear up to defend their Landmark title on Saturday, October 30, at Bicentennial Park in Bethlehem, Pa.
