LEBANON, Pa. – The Elizabethtown College men's golf team earned its best finish of the season at the Dutchmen Men's Golf Fall Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley at the Lebanon Country Club.
The Blue Jays shot a +44, 332 to tie for sixth place. Cabrini won the team title, carding a +11, 299 and also had the individual champion, Dan Murphy, who finished with a -1, 71 on the day.
Sophomore Matt Barosi had a career day for Etown, shooting a career-best +10, 82, tying him for 21st. Classmate David Fetzer and senior Blake Wallace followed up Barosi, finishing one stroke behind him with a +11, 83 to put them in a tie for 29th. The 83 is a personal best for Fetzer.
Rounding out the top-five for the Blue Jays were seniors Evan Kreiser (+12, 84) and Luke Reiter (+12, 84) in a tie for 35th.
Elizabethtown wraps up the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday, October 23 at the Landmark Conference Fall Preview at the Woodholme Country Club. Groups tee off at 10 a.m.
