Gerstenbacher sets facility record, school record at AARTFC Indoor Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Samuel Gerstenbacher set a facility record and broke his own school record as a handful of athletes for the Elizabethtown College men's track and field team competed at the AARTFC Indoor Championships.

On Friday, Curtis Reynolds, Ean Mann, and Christopher Myers were in action for the Blue Jays. Mann finished second in his preliminary heat of the 60m at 7.01 and qualified for the event final on Saturday. Myers placed fourth for E-town in the 5,000m with a new PR time of 15:01.64 to improved his seventh-place standing all-time. Reynolds was 13th in the triple jump at 12.93m (42'5-1/4").

Saturday, Gerstenbacher bested the rest of the field with a blistering time of 8:26.67 to lower his school record time. It also set the Golisano Training Center facility record.

Mann ran 7.01 for the second consecutive race and finished fourth overall in the 60m after qualifying sixth going into the final.

JJ Teal also ran a personal best time in the 800m to improved her tenth-place standing in program history. Teal ran 1:57.57 and placed 11th. Bill Angelina was 15th at 1:58.50.
