HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Elizabethtown College women's swimming team won six events on its way to the 119-77 over Juniata Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Blue Jays wrap up the regular season 5-6 overall and 2-2 in the Landmark.
The Blue Jays set the tone for the afternoon from the jump, as senior
Sara Lingo, freshman
Zoe Bender, sophomore
Robin Hill and freshman
Brooke Langowski combined to win the 200 medley relay (2:15.67).
Lingo followed up her leg of the 200 medley relay to score the first individual victory of the afternoon, touching the wall in the 800 free in 10:17.72.
Langowski was the next first place finisher for Blue Jays in the 200 free (2:27.42), while sophomore
Marin Adams took the top spot in the 100 fly (1:13.57).
The Blue Jays now prepare for the Landmark Conference Championship, starting on Friday, Feb. 14. All events will take place at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center in Boyds, Md.
Hill and freshman
Olivia Eason wrapped up the first place finishes for Elizabethtown, winning the 100 free (1:05.18) and 400 free (5:16.31) respectively.
Taking second place for the Blue Jays against the Eagles was senior
Sadie Hawkins in the 50 free (31.68), Adams in the 200 IM (2:43.90), Langowski in the 100 free (1:07.63), Lingo in the 100 back (1:14.94) and the quartet of Hawkins, Eason, junior
Cate Falkenstein and Hill in the 200 free relay (2:04.75).
The Blue Jays now prepare for the Landmark Conference Championship, starting on Friday, Feb. 14. All events will take place at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center in Boyds, Md.
