NYC DIII Invitational Men's Results
NEW YORK CITY -- The Elizabethtown College men's track and field team sent a contingent of athletes to the NYC DIII Invitational on Friday at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center.
Samuel Gerstenbacher was the top place finisher for the Blue Jays at the meet.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Gerstenbacher finished third in the mile with a new personal best time of 4:17.40, which moved him from ninth to fifth all-time.

Christian Schaaf,
Adam Wolfe, and
Blake Samsel also competed in the mile, with all three running sub-4:35.

Bill Angelina was tenth in the 800m at 1:58.85, while
JJ Teal was less than a second off that pace at 1:59.07.
- In the 3,000m,
Liam Coverdale and
Christopher Myers both placed in the top ten. Myers was seventh at 8:46.37 and Coverdale was tenth at 8:49.06. Both runners' times put them on the program's all-time list, with Myers running the seventh-fastest time and Coverdale the eighth-fastest time in school history.

Timmy Witmer finished tenth in the 5,000m at 16:15.97.
- In the unseeded 60m dash,
Jalen Belgrave took tenth at 7.61.
The men's track and field team will compete at Alvernia on Saturday, February 8.
