ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Elizabethtown College women's swimming team celebrated seniors
Sadie Hawkins,
Sarah Helt and
Sara Lingo as the Blue Jays competed against Arcadia Friday night.
The visiting Knights (8-2) took the meet, topping Elizabethtown (4-6), 151-54.
The Blue Jays battled to a number of second place finishes, starting with the quartet of freshman Oliva Eason, freshman
Zoe Bender, Hawkins and freshman
Brooke Langowski in the 200 medley relay.
Sophomore
Marin Adams was the first individual on the team to score a top-two finish, touching the wall in second in the 200 free (2:10.86).
Sophomore
Robin Hill followed up Adams with a second place finish of her own in the 50 fly (29.71), and then shortly after, Lingo took second in the 50 back (31.41).
The final second place finish of the night was another relay, as Hill, Langowski, Adams and junior
Cate Falkenstein in the 200 free relay (1:5.84).
Elizabethtown wraps up the regular season tomorrow, Feb. 1, on the road against Juniata. First race is set for 1 p.m.
