YORK Pa. – Senior
Casey Marshall highlighted the afternoon for the men's swimming team, breaking both a school and facility record as Elizabethtown fell to York in non-conference action.
Marshall touched the wall in first place in 100 fly in 51.27 breaking his old school record of 51.30 set last season at the 2019 Landmark Conference Championships. He also set the York College Natatorium facility record, breaking Noah Schammel's (Washington & Lee) mark from 2017.
With the loss(135-61), the Blue Jays fall to 3-4 on the season, while the Spartans improve to 6-2 overall.
Joining Marshall with a first place finish was freshman
Kale Decker in the 1000 free, outdistancing by more than seven second with a season best time of 10:53.02.
Taking second place for Elizabethtown, was junior
Alex Pecher in the 100 back (53.98) and the 100 breast (1:03.83), freshman
Logan Miller in the 400 IM (5:16.44), sophomore
Sam Lopez, Miller, sophomore
Alex Patterson and junior
Austin Dolaway in the 200 medley relay (1:47.50) and Marshall, Patterson, freshman
Nathan Tindell and Decker in the 800 free relay (8:08.11).
The Blue Jays remain on the road as they head to Albright on Saturday, Jan. 25. First race is set for 1 p.m.
