Lingo Claims Two First Place Finishes against Scranton

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Elizabethtown women's swim team fell to Scranton, 142-63, Wednesday evening in Landmark Conference action.

With the loss, the Blue Jays fall to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference, while the Royals improve to 7-1 on the season and 3-0 in the Landmark.

Senior Sara Lingo claimed the only two first place finishes of the day for Elizabethtown, beating the field in both the 1000 free (11:48.87) and 500 free (5:43.04).

Racking up second place finishes for the Blue Jays was sophomore Robin Hill in the 100 fly (1:04.86), freshman Zoe Bender in the 100 breast (1:17.51) and senior Sadie Hawkins, Lingo, junior Caroline Hill and Robin Hill in the 400 free relay (4:08.00).
The women's swim team is back in action this Saturday, Jan. 18 at York. First race is set for 1 p.m.
